Boilers, heating and radiators
Boiler servicing and repairs, heating controls and radiator work.
A service is a fixed piece of work: the checks and clean, with the readings recorded and any wear noted. A repair begins with an assessment to find the cause, and the fix is priced once that is known.
For heating problems, it helps to say which radiators are affected and whether it is the top or the bottom that stays cool.
Heating work we take on
- Annual boiler servicing with readings recorded
- Lockouts, fault codes and pressure loss
- Radiators cold at the top or the bottom
- Thermostatic radiator valves and lockshields
- Room thermostats, programmers and timers
- Pumps, diverter valves and system flushing
Common questions
What is the difference between a service and a repair?
A service is planned maintenance on a working boiler. A repair starts with an assessment to find the fault, followed by a price for the parts and labour.
My boiler shows a fault code. Is that useful?
Yes. Send the make, model and the code with your enquiry. It helps us prepare for the visit, though the cause still has to be confirmed at the property.
One radiator is cold at the bottom. Does it need replacing?
Not necessarily. It is assessed on the visit, and replacement is only quoted if the radiator cannot be cleared.
Which radiator work do you take on?
Repairs, valve replacement, moving a radiator and adding one to an existing system.
